You can apply on our website, when applications are open. The next grants round will be in the spring. Further information will be posted on our website and social media in due course.
Any non-profit organisation can apply for a small grant. This includes charities, Community Interest Companies and parish councils. Your organisation must have completed two years of activity. If unincorporated, we will ask to see a governing document.
We do not fund individuals.
Large grants are considered by invitation only.
KCCF funding comes from our trading subsidiary, Waitrose Duchy Originals, as well as individual donors, trusts and foundations. You can learn more here:
The Fund has a trading subsidiary, Duchy Originals Limited, which was founded in 1990 by King Charles III (when he was Prince of Wales) with its first product, a biscuit made from wheats and oats grown organically on the Home Farm at Highgrove.
Duchy Originals Limited licenses the ‘Duchy Organic’ brand to Waitrose Limited. The partnership gives Waitrose the exclusive right to originate, promote and distribute Duchy Organic products in the UK. Waitrose sells Waitrose Duchy Organic products through its own branches and at Waitrose.com. It also wholesales Waitrose Duchy Organic products in the UK and overseas.
Following the Accession of His Majesty The King our name has been changed to better reflect the ongoing relationship of the charity with our Founder. This new name reaffirms our Founder’s commitment to the charity’s mission and preserves the legacy of HM King Charles III for generations to come. We were previously The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation and traded as The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund.
There is no change to the Fund’s registration numbers with the Charity Commission and Companies House.
