Over the years, The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund has committed funding towards supporting the health and wellbeing as well as social inclusion of older persons. PWCF has awarded grants to a number of organisations including Contact the Elderly, PRIME Cymru, Sudbury Neighourhood Centre, Omega and Shared Lives Plus.
Shared Lives Plus received a major grant of £112,000 from PWCF. This award enabled the charity to work with 8 local partner organisations to bring Shared Lives for the first time to 80 older persons and their families in predominantly rural areas, generating learning for all the UK’s 150 local Shared Lives Schemes.
Watch the short video below and see how PWCF and Shared Lives Plus are transforming lives while supporting Brian and other older persons in rural Aberdeenshire.
