PWCF supports Ukraine humanitarian appeal

The Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund has responded to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine by funding emergency appeals coordinated by The British Red Cross and World Jewish Relief. Both organisations are working to help people living through or fleeing from the conflict.
The British Red Cross is working through the International Committee of the Red Cross to help as many people as possible. Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers have distributed 30,000 food and hygiene parcels so far. Teams have also provided first aid training to 1,000 people in metro stations and bomb shelters, and are supporting fire fighters, medical and civil protection units.
In Poland, Red Cross teams are distributing food and basic aid items and providing medical and psychosocial support for people arriving from Ukraine. On February 27, more than 400 people were looked after by Polish Red Cross volunteers.

World Jewish Relief are prioritising food, financial, medical, material, and psychological support for the worst affected. They are working in Ukraine supporting people with disabilities living in Kharkiv who are unable to flee, as well as helping Ukrainian families who have fled to Moldova, Transnistria and Poland by providing emergency support.
